Data Scientist
We are looking for data scientist, data hacker, an exceptional talent, who is passionate about exploring complex data sets, drawing meaningful insight from such analysis and building high quality data products.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze huge amounts of data to identify meaningful patterns
• Coming up with new and creative research ideas and insights
• Apply machine learning, data mining, and advanced statistical techniques
• Build machine learning models from development through testing and validation, with considerations of production ready and low latency models
• Write production grade code in python and Spark
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities
Qualifications:
• +2 years of relevant work experience doing quantitative data analysiand machine learning
• At least BA/BSc degree in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, statistics, economics, bioinformatics, information systems etc.
• Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques (classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction, etc.)
• Excellent applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
• Good scripting and programming skills preferably with Python/Scala
• Experience with data manipulation and query languages such as SQL
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
• Troubleshooter, problem-solver who knows how to navigate tradeoffs
• Excellent communication skills
• Advantage: Experience with Spark and the AWS stack
