Description
The successful candidate will work with customers, sales and strategy teams to collect, augment and refine requirements for our products, and work closely with the R&D team to prioritize the requirements, define and maintain the roadmap, break them into detailed requirements that developers can use, and be the resident expert for the R&D team representing the customer.
The role encompasses aspects of the product’s lifecycle, from early definition to full deployment
• Understand customers’ needs, assess wider market implications
• Respond to RFIs & RFPs
• Define detailed product features, including user experience and APIs
• Work with R&D and Sales to determine priorities
• Work with R&D team on detailed interpretation of requirements
• Review architecture and design docs
• Own product roadmap
• Provide Sales and Marketing teams with technical expertise and materials
Qualifications
• Deep technical understanding of the networking space, ideally both IP as well as transmission domain
• Specific knowledge about IP/MPLS and L2/L3 service lifecycle management
• At least three years of experience in inbound, technical product management ideally within an agile s/w development environment.
• Experience of working in small teams, either start-up or smaller organizations in larger corporates.
• Previous experience in working with Service providers.
• Excellent interpersonal communication & negotiation skills
• Track record in working within a geographically diverse team and with international customers.
• BSC in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering
• Willing to travel
• Hands-on technical experience within the networking space would be considered a strong advantage.
